Westcliff Pick Up Stix Catches Fire

The bad news is that the Pickup Stix at Westcliff Plaza caught fire. The good news is the House Special Chicken was unharmed. Last Wednesday at approximately 8:19 a.m., emergency crews were dispatched to 1112 Irvine Ave. in Newport Beach following reports of a fire. Upon arrival, responders observed heavy smoke emanating from the area. The specific details regarding the cause of the fire, the extent of the damage, and any potential injuries were not provided in the available information. As of Sunday, Feb 9th, the Pickup Stix was still boarded up with a safety notice stating there is “structural damage to roof and unknown damage to electrical and gas systems.” WE WOULD LIKE TO REMIND OUR READERS that any allusion to foul play involving Panda Express, Hong Kong Express or No1 Chinese Food is purely speculative at this point.
