When we said “we’ll have the june gloom, hold the gloom, we didn’t mean “on the side”. Sunday starts a warming spell with sunny high 70’s holding next week which means Dad should definitely don that floppy hat even though he definitely cannot pull it off. Erewhon Rumored to be Coming to Newport

Locals are whispering about it—has Erewhon finally found a spot in Newport Beach? The upscale grocery chain focused on organic, wellness‑oriented foods—known for eye-popping prices and celebrity smoothie collabs—currently operates 10 locations across Los Angeles County. The rumor’s been floating around for months on OC Reddit, with one thread drawing 23 comments and 14 upvotes asking for any insider info. One commenter chimed in with: “well they dm’ed me this back in Jun. So yes, a Newport Beach erewhon is coming!!” and posted the following screenshot:

Exactly where in NB was hotly speculated, one commenter stated a source at Irvine Company said the little Ralph’s at Westcliff Plaza lease was up, and Erewhon was an interested party, as well as Whole Food’s and Trader Joes (TJs 17th St building is also rumored to be for sale). So far, no official word—but with chatter this loud, many are expecting a grand entrance. Stay tuned—we’ll be on the lookout too!

DUI Check Point Today (Friday 6/6) In Newport Beach

We know that none of our readers need fret about this information, but it is always better to be prepared for an extra bit of traffic. Newport Beach PD will be holding a DUI checkpoint somewhere within city limits today, Friday June 6th 2025, between 8pm and 1am. Does the FEDs inflation report include Uber surge pricing?
