First Wind, Now Rain

Those who were getting used to the warm January days (us) are in for a rude awakening as rain and cooler weather are forecast for this weekend. Light showers are expected after 4pm on Saturday and expected to continue into Tuesday, with possible thunderstorms on Sunday. We’re not even sure we own an umbrella at this point. Most of coastal Orange County should see less than .1” of rain, yes thats 1/10th of 1 inch. Not exactly a monsoon. The bright side is the cooler air should abate the Santa Ana winds and the rain should help finally put an end to the LA fires.

FireAid Announces Lineup

While Inglewood is a ways away from our usual stomping grounds of coastal OC, the lineup for the FireAid concert benefiting victims of the LA Fires looks good enough to maybe brave the 405 and see them live at the Kia Forum. The FireAid benefit concert is set for January 30, at Inglewood's Intuit Dome and Kia Forum, aiming to support Southern California wildfire relief and prevention efforts. The Intuit Dome lineup includes Billie Eilish, Lady Gaga, Stevie Wonder, and Rod Stewart, while the Kia Forum will feature Joni Mitchell, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Green Day, and No Doubt, among others. Performances begin at 6 p.m. PST at the Kia Forum and 7:30 p.m. PST at the Intuit Dome. Tickets are available via Ticketmaster, and the event will be streamed on platforms such as Apple Music, Netflix, and YouTube. Proceeds, managed by the Annenberg Foundation, will aid in rebuilding efforts and fire prevention initiatives. Can’t make it out to LA? Here’s how to stream the concert live instead.
